In de jaren twintig van de vorige eeuw bouwde de Verreries Campinoises in Lommel een glasfabriek. Deze glasfabrikant verdween onder druk van de grote depressie weer in 1930, maar hij had voor zijn arbeiders wel een wijk laten bouwen, een cité zoals dat heet...
