# Brandoefening in Lepelstraat

Gisterenavond was de Lepelstraat het decor voor een grootscheepse brandoefening. In twee leegstaande panden werd telkens een brand met slachtoffers nagebootst.

De opdracht bestond er in om de brand doeltreffend te bestrijden en de slachtoffers op een snelle en veilige manier te evacueren. Dit alles werd nog bemoeilijkt door een beperkte zichtbaarheid in de panden.

Dergelijke oefeningen levert de brandweer zeer nuttige informatie op.

Daarom zijn ze bij onze brandweer steeds op zoek naar leegstaande panden die binnenkort afgebroken worden, zodat ze de oefeningen zo realistisch mogelijk kunnen uitvoeren. Ken je nog zo een pand, dan mag je steeds contact opnemen met de brandweer!
